Winter Updates at ALoT - August 2023
Kia Ora ALoTers,
We hope you're keeping warm and dry this winter, and finding opportunities to do some DIY and get stuck in to your gardens.
We have exciting news! Waitemata Local Board have given us a $3000 grant to spend on new tools, and we need our members to help us choose! We've complied a poll to vote on commonly requested items:
We'll be tallying the votes on the 19th of August, so watch this space for some shiny new tools and equipment!
Thank you to everyone who submited photos of their lovely DIYs to go in the chance to win $20 ALoT credit. You're all winners in our hearts of course, but Victoria won the $20 credit with this great folding table DIY.
We'll be making this a regular thing, so please send us photos of your DIYs, garden transformations, or even your dogs looking cute with our tools for
the chance to win a $20 credit on your account!
To enter, send us photos of our shared tools in action on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, or if you prefer, email us. The ALoTery winner will be announced at the end of August. If you've already sent photos in since our last competition (end of May), you're already in the draw!
This is a friendly reminder from your librarians to please check and clean your tools before returning. Especially lawnmowers, vacumn cleaners, paint tools and chainsaws. Thank you!
